The Music

For me, music and art have always gone hand in hand. Case in point, one Sunday afternoon, while listening to Minnie Riperton’s “Alone in Brewster Bay,” I sketched what I thought might be happening in HER mind as she sang that song.  Then I began creating other pieces. And with my favorite music playing in the background (love songs), it’s no surprise that each turned out to be romantic in nature.
Here are just a few of those songs that moved me and that could have easily been dedicated to a special someone as they were being composed:  "Never Let Me Go," by Aretha Franklin;  "My Imagination," by Bill Withers;  "Darling, je vous aime beaucoup," by Dean Martin;  "The Sand and The Sea," by Nat King Cole;  "Nothing Can Change This Love," by Sam Cooke;  “Can't Take My Eyes Off You," by Nancy Wilson;  "And I Love Her," by Harry Connick, Jr.;  "I'll Close My Eyes," by Diane Schuur;  "Time For Love," by Randy Crawford;  "Thank You," by Bobby Womack.
